Head inshore from Aur to Tinggi (1¾ hours), which rises into a distinctive cone shaped peak 1700 feet high that frequently has its own white cap of cloud.
Explore the group of small coral islands to the south of Tinggi, the beaches have a range of seashell and coral washed up on the shoreline. Anchor in a small indent in the coastline on the north side that is Vesak Bay. At high tide the beach disappears.
On the west side of Sibu which is opposite Tinggi there are several large fish traps on which sit houses, these are called fishing kelongs.

Malaysia Rengis Island

I recommend spending one day of your vacations at Rengis Island. There is an untouched reef surrounding Pulau Rengis, in the evening hundreds of sea birds converge on this small island to roost. It is fascinating to watch the different birds circling the island in the
evening looking for a place to settle in the trees for the night. Directly opposite is the Tioman Island Golf Club which has a pretty 18 hole links golf course which is open to visitors. The 4-star Berjaya Resort and main town of Tekok is along the same beach offering some shopping opportunities (Tioman is a duty free island) and onshore dining experience.

From here I recommend you taking a 45 minute 4-wheel drive across the island to Telok Juara. The trail climbs up the steep hills through Virgin Jungle and then drops down into Telok Juara Bay. Kemana IV will motor round to join you there.

At Telok Juara Bay, there is a 1-mile long crescent shaped bay with a steep sandy beach. There are several beach bars and restaurants at the North end to choose from. This is a good anchorage at which to spend one night. The North East side is rocky and rugged but there are some good reefs on which to snorkel and dive.

Monkey Bay is a lovely anchorage on the N.W. side, named because of the monkeys that come down to the shoreline at low tide to drink from the fresh water stream and to forage along the shoreline for food. At low tide, Juvenile black tipped reef sharks cruise the shallow water at the head of the bay. There is good snorkelling and diving along the coastline and some lovely little secluded beaches.

Pulau Tulai has a choice of several beautiful fine white sand beaches. There is a good anchorage, in a bay on the N.W. side where I recommend anchoring overnight. There is a mangrove forest at the head of the bay; you can walk round the forest on the beach behind it. Build a bonfire on the beach and enjoy an evening beach party roasting marshmallows on the fire.

From Pulau Tulai head down the west side of Tioman, possibly stopping at one of the small islands or beaches along the way. South East of Tioman lie Permanggil and then Pulau Aur. From Pulau Tulai to Permanggil takes 1.15 hours.

Malaysia Salang Island

Salang is located on the northern tip of Tioman Island and most tourists prefer the idyllic quiet village. This might be because of the very nice beach, the little bit of nightlife (that you would find only here in Tioman) and the nearby diving sites. It is adjacent to Monkey
bay and Tulai Island and therefore a preferred destination for snorkeling and scuba diving.Salang is on the northernmost end of the island and is the beach most frequented by backpackers and independent travellers looking for a spot of diving, plenty of nightlife and cheap accommodation.

The place also offers many places to stay and dine. You can also find some mini markets, 4 dive operators and a few souvenir shops. For some travelers it's even too crowded and they prefer to go to a more secluded beach like Air Batang or Juara. Salang is divided in two parts by a new big concrete jetty and by the inflow of a freshwater lagoon. Around the jetty you can find the most crowds, coz here are the restaurants and bars.

Of course almost all resorts also have their own restaurants. In the northern part of Salang behind the Salang Indah Resort it is more quite and accommodation cheaper.

However, most of the resorts are located south of the jetty due to the best beach here. Beyond the lagoon you can see many 2 metre long monitor lizards scurrying about their daily business. These impressive lizards can be found all over the island though they are not as numerous as they are in Salang.

Despite the ‘tourist pressure’, Pulau Tioman ; and Salang beach especially has managed to retain its island beauty that many daydreamers have come to expect but expect only as an island visitors’ destination where fun also comes in the form of music and boisterous nightlife.

You have a fantastic view on the bay from the verandas of Nadia' Inn big wooden houses. A wooden footbridge over the rocks at the southern end of the beach leads out to the houses on the hill.

From Singapore, we took a bus and went to Malaysia again...Tired? of course but we enjoyed the trip...If you need a real getaway, you have chosen the right place. This time, we gonna talk about the pure sand and beautiful beach...Melina Beach which is located between Kampung Genting and Kampung Paya on Pulau Tioman. This resort has been operating since 1999.Melina Beach is completely isolated with a 3km stretch of private beach. If you are getting bored with just the usual trip, I recommend you to a very unique travel place, Cactus Valley. The Cactus Valley is a major tourist attraction in Cameron Highlands. Located in the town of Brinchang, Cactus Valley is where visitors can explore and learn about the many varieties of cactus, some said to be as old as sixty years. But its not just cactus that visitors can get to see here. There is also a whole lot of flowering plants to admire. There is also a garden shop where visitors can purchase small plants or trinkets in the form of strawberry keychains, among others.

Malaysia Bukit Bintang

On my trip last time to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I could conclude that the place I like the most is Bukit Bintang. You might wonder why..But I’ll tell you the reasons. Bukit Bintang consists of all, from shopping, entertainment until food! Yes, I eat a lot coz too much delicious food there. Try the chicken rice that smell so good or the roasted meat (not sausage sold in there, it’s the worst sausage I ever eat in my life!). Along this street, everybody have their relax time, chit chat and many pedestrians walk around. You don’t have to scare to get hit by car coz the road is so wide. At night, this place is crowded by so many tourists as you can find hotel resort easily. Along the street, there are so many tourists and local people supper and walking or buy souvenirs until midnight. And lots of shopping malls you can go. This place is also close to Bus Station Puduraya. So, it’s really a strategic location for travelers.

Before you live Desaru, you have to travel to one more attractive tourism place. It is here,Malaysia Ostrich Wonderland which opens to the public daily from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. It is located in EMR 15 Teluk Ramunia,Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia. The admission fee is RM10 for adults and RM6 for children. But if you want to take a ride on the Ostrich, a certificate and an instant photograph, visitors must pay charges RM 15.00, while adults at RM 18.00. In this showfarm, tourists can see the ostrich eggs process until be a baby ostrich. So unique, isn't it..Then at there we can find original feathers that are being attached to pens, pencils and letter openers.For food lovers, you also can taste fresh and dried ostrich meat are up for sales in the showfarm. Desaru is a beach and resort area in Johor, Malaysia. It is located approximately 88 kilometers east of Johor Bahru, on the South China Sea. It is a very popular weekend escape for residents of Singapore who come to enjoy the attractive beaches and golf courses. The Desaru Golf & Country Resort is a popular establishment here.Desaru located on the eastern tip of the peninsula has clean sandy white beaches and is popular with tourists as well as locals.

Malaysia Batu Cave

Batu Caves is a limestone hill, which has a series of caves and cave temples, located in Gombak district, north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu or Batu River, which flows past the hill. I heard that a good news for tourism that a new RM515mil KTM Komuter rail extension from Sentul to Batu Caves is expected to be completed in May 2009. The admission fee to enter here is free. Batu cave opens everyday from 6am to 9 pm. You also can see the whole view of Kuala Lumpur City from here. This is one of the holiest Hindu shrines in Malaysia and one of the most popular tourist attractions.At your arrival you will be greeted by lots of cute monkeys. They demand for foods such as peanuts and banana's, which tourists can buy in several shop, before start to climb up to the caves. Tourists have to climb around 200 steps more. It's tired enough honestly.Below the Temple Cave is the Dark Cave, with its amazing rock formations and a number of animals found nowhere else.

Putrajaya is a planned city located in south of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Alternatively, you can take the KLIA Transit from the airport to Putrajaya station and transfer to a taxi.But if you prefer to take a bus then bus service is provided from 6:30am until 10pm to and from Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, Serdang commuter station and Sinar Kota in Kuala Lumpur. The bus fare for one-way is around RM 3.50 and takes about 30 minutes-one hour, depends on the traffic flow. Usually, on non-working days the time the buses take to arrive at Putrajaya will be much faster, but the frequency of the buses will be accordingly reduced.

KOMTAR is one of the biggest and most famous shopping complexes in the city. It is located in the heart of Georgetown and is 65 stories high. Over here, visitors can find a labyrinth of boutiques, fast food outlets, restaurants, amusement arcades and shops as well as two of the biggest department stores. Visitors can also have an excellent aerial view of the whole city as well as daily cultural shows at the Tower Tourist Center on the 58th floor. A duty free shop on the 57th floor offers good shopping and the souvenir center is yet another place to get memorabilia of Penang. I can tell you that the cakes sold in here are very delicious and I will eat a lot again next time I go there.

Malaysia Johor Bahru

Johor Bahru, also spelled Johor Baharu, Johor Baru, ("Baru" means "new" in Malay) or Johore Bahru, is the capital city of Johor in southern Malaysia. Johor Bahru can be easily divided into four parts - North, South, East and West. Tourists from Kuala Lumpur that go to Singapore by bus will pass Johor Baharu. Johor Bahru has many natural attractions such as Johor Zoo, Saleng Zoo, and Orchid Valley. Johor Bahru is also famous for its food dishes, especially seafood. I like the seafood in here because very fresh and delicious but it costs expensive enough. Do beware of menus without prices, especially when ordering seafood, otherwise you may be in for an unpleasant surprise. Most of food stalls and dining spots come alive when night falls over the city. Common dishes include seafood and some Johor specialities like Johor laksa and mee rebus. Some of the food centers that tourists may try can be Taman Sri Tebrau Hawker Centre, Danga Bay Bayleaf Food Park, Restoran ZZ, Mee Rebus Stulang Laut, Nasi Lemak Senibong(Costing RM4 per plate), San Lou Restaurant, Pekin Restaurant, Bamboo Restaurant(Costs about RM12 per chicken).

Malaysia Ipoh Cave

Ipoh has many limestone caves due to the karstic formation around it. The Sam Po Tong (Cavern of Three Precious) temple, is a Chinese temple built within a limestone cave. A pond outside houses many tortoises. Its sister temple, Perak Tong (Perak Cave), has a steep, tall staircase in the interior of the cave rising up to the top of its hill where one is greeted by a panoramic view of Ipoh and its surroundings. You have to watch your step carefully because the stone stair is narrow and there is not much light or sunshine inside the cave.The statue of Buddha in Perak Tong was the tallest and largest of its kind in Malaysia when it was first commissioned. Both these cavern temples have decent vegetarian food.
Another sight worth seeing is the Kek Lok Tong (Cavern of Utmost Happiness), which is a cave temple that lies on the other side of the same range of limestone hills as Sam Poh Tong. It is accessible through the Gunung Rapat housing area. It has a cleaner, quieter and more cooling environment and has the best scenic cave view.
Limestone hills extend 20 km north of Ipoh and also 20 km to the south. There are many caves in these hills; cave temples are built in some of these caves. Gua Tempurung, near Gopeng south of Ipoh, is a show cave open to the public.

Malaysia Ipoh

Famous attractions around Ipoh include The Greentown area near the Ipoh City Council Building is fast becoming an entertainment hotspot. The development Greentown Business Center is giving new life to the city center. The general activities in the new development consists mostly of restaurants, food outlets and cafés.
Medan Ipoh (formerly known as Metro Ipoh Baru) located adjacent to Ipoh Garden East is a favorite for younger people. The residents of the city have dubbed the area as Ipoh's very own 'Bangsar' (akin to the hip Bangsar area in Kuala Lumpur). The place is famous for its cluster of nightspots, cafés, coffee shops (serving local food), entertainment outlets, F&B (food and beverage) joints, and more recently cybercafés.
The recently opened "Lost World of Tambun" is expected to gain a certain following as Ipoh's own "Sunway City" (mirroring the actual Sunway City located about 15 km west of Kuala Lumpur). Within the "Lost World of Tambun" is an upgraded and revived natural hot spring, which was very popular in the 1960s and 1970s.
An effort has been made by the city council to re-establish the night market centrally, at Dato' Tahwil Azar Road, known as the "Night Lane". It is a typical Malaysian night market, albeit bigger and with longer operating hours.

Penang is the second smallest state in Malaysia after Perlis, and the eighth most populous. The airport serves as the northern gateway to Malaysia.What I like the most from this traditional city is the food. I can say that I eat a lot every time I travel Penang. I like the fried rice noodles and the mango cakes very much.It tastes yummy. Penang is famous for its hawker fare, which is food sold by itinerant vendors by the sidewalk.There are several popular places that you have to visit here such as Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas, Kek Lok Si Temple, Ayer Itam is always crowded with foreign tourists that want to pray or take a look around. Then you can pray in Wat Chaiyamangkalaram, Burmah Lane, is noted for its huge reclining Buddha statue. Check out the Penang Global City Center (PGCC) also as The PGCC is a one-million-square-meter highly mixed-use development that will turn Penang into the gateway for the multi-billion-dollar Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), a new governmental initiative that aims to accelerate economic growth and elevate income levels in northern Malaysia.
