Singapore Supreme Court and City Hall
After visit Singapore for several times, I have conclusion that it’s a nice city as I always keep
coming back again and again for shopping or spend my holidays. Not only shopping centers, I also interested with Singapore’s historical buildings such as Supreme Court and City Hall which has long history. I heard that Supreme Court was built between 1930 and 1939; it is also known for its spacious interiors featuring murals by Italian artist, Cavalieri Rodolfo Noili. To keep apace with the growing demands and rapid changes of Singapore’s society, the judiciary shifted out of this building into a new Supreme Court Building in 2005. It is in the neighboring City Hall which was built in 1929, the City Hall building was originally called the “Municipal Building”. In September 1951, Singapore was conferred city status by King George VI, and the building was renamed as the “City Hall”.
