Bugis Junction is located above Bugis MRT Station, features Singapore's first glass-covered and
air-conditioned shopping streets amidst a nostalgic architectural setting. From Straits Chinese-style facades to shop houses with five-foot walkways, Bugis Junction features a sense of historical charm while serving the needs of the modern shoppers.
The exciting retail space houses friendly shops and sidewalk cafes, delighting visitors with an old town atmosphere within a new city. At Bugis Junction, tourists are invited to discover and explore while sauntering under a comfortable sun or shopping under the stars.
When i traveled there, I liked this place a lot because of I still can feel the sun light when I was shopping around but you have to get ready to prepare an umbrella to prevent you wet when it's raining.
Anchor tenants include BHG which was formerly known as Seiyu. Other tenants include, Books Kinokuniya, Cold Storage, Food Junction, Shaw Organisation which runs the Bugis Cineplex.
There is a youth-themed zone in the mall and numerous restaurants in the building. Kiosks are found along the shopping streets and shops are by the side, with shophouse themed buildings.The Bugis was commonly known for the large community of and transvesittes that worked the area.Bugis Junction consists of four sections.
They are Bugis Junction Tower, Parco Bugis Junction, Seiyu Bugis Junction and InterContinental Singapore.
Bugis Junction is accessible via an underpass from Bugis station on the Mass Rapid Transit. The mall can be accessed by car through two car park entrances and there are bus stops located around the mall.
