Japan Tokyo Joypolis

Tokyo Joypolis is the largest and most sophisticated of the amusement arcades in Tokyo operated by Sega Co. Ltd. It occupies the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of the DECKS Tokyo Beach complex, near
Odaiba Beach.
Besides the latest video games developed by Sega, it also features seventeen different attractions. These can be divided into five categories (although many combine two or more categories):
1. Games (such as Power Sled and Boat Race Grand Prix)
2. Rides (Rail Chase The Ride; Horror Ride; Half Pipe Canyon; Time Fall)
3. Walk-through (Weird Photo Studio; Terrors of America 2)
4. Virtual reality 3D adventures (AS-1; The Crypt; Aqua Nova)
5. Fortune telling (5 Senses Garden; Fortune Museum)

Instructions for each of the attractions are provided in Japanese and English. Where headphones are used (e.g. Murder Lodge; Time Fall), commentaries are available in either Japanese or English.

The basic admission fee is 500 yen per person (300 yen for children). In addition, there are further charges for access to the attractions (300 -700 yen), for which prepaid cards are available.

A passport can be purchased (either at the entrance or inside Joypolis) for 3,800 yen, covering admission and unlimited access to the attractions for one day. Disabled visitors may enter Joypolis free of charge with a helper, by showing a valid registered disabled person's card.

On some of the attractions, there are height or age restrictions for children. There are snacks and soft drinks available inside Joypolis, as well as a cafe/bar serving fast food and drinks that offers a panoramic view of the Rainbow Bridge.
