Singapore Read Bridge

Later on, I continued my trip to another fun travel spot, Read Bridge.Where is it?Well,Read Bridge is a beam-structured bridge located at Clarke Quay within the Singapore River
Planning Area in Singapore. The bridge crosses the Singapore River linking Clarke Quay to Swissotel Merchant Court. The bridge was built in 1881 and completed in 1889. The bridge is opened to pedestrians and bicycles, and has been modified several times.Read Bridge is less well known in comparison to the other bridges straddling Singapore River. Today, even people passing the bridge may not know its name. How could it be?
Between Coleman Bridge dan Read Bridge, we can found many stalls selling mooncakes, chinese tea, chinese handicrafts and still many other stuffs in Mid-Autumn Festival by The River.

Singapore Boat Quay

I was taken by my buddy who had stayed in Singapore for almost 5 years to Boat Quay when I have my trip there. Before reached the spot, she told me the history of this Boat Quay, why it is so-called like that.I listen to him meanwhile she was driving her
car.Boat Quay is a historical quay in Singapore which is situated upstream from the mouth of the Singapore River on its southern bank. Before the 80s, Singapore River had a lot of bum boats. These bum boats carried all sorts of goods such as rice, flour, beans, copra, coffee, sugar and other dried goods. The goods would be unloaded from the bum boats typically by Chinese bare-bodied coolies(in chinese word,it means hard labour).Though serving aquatic trade is no longer Boat Quay's primary role, the shophouses on it have been carefully conserved and now house various bars, pubs and restaurants. Therefore Boat Quay's social-economic role in the city has shifted away from that of trade and maritime commerce, and now leans towards more of a role accommodated for tourism and aesthetics for the commercial zone of which encloses the Singapore River. Boat Quay is also the name of the road along the quay which has since been converted into a pedestrian mall nowadays.

Singapore Equinox

On my third trip to Singapore, I have a great desire to visit Equinox..as I heard so much good recommendations from my buddies there.I was so curious. So I came along with my
family. The main attraction for me it's not the food but it's the gorgeous sight the top of the tallest hotel(Swissotel/Stamford Rd/Raffles City) in Southeast Asia which allows you to see out past the marina to Malaysia and Indonesia. The restaurant's three-tier design and floor-to-ceiling windows mean every table has a view. It's decorated in contemporary style with nice Chinese accents. For the cuisine, you are offered by many types of foods such as Lunch is an extensive display of seafood served in a host of international recipes, with chefs searing scallops to order. Dinner is a la carte. Take you gal pal and spend the most romantic dinner ever in here or maybe you have a plan to propose? Well, this place can be a choice.

Singapore Zouk Nightclub

Singapore's nightlife isn't quite a match for Patpong, but it's no slouch either! Some clubs have
24-hour licenses and few places close before 3 AM. Any artist touring Asia are pretty much guaranteed to stop in Singapore, with superclub Zouk in particular regularly clocking high on lists of the world's best nightclubs.Zouk nightclub is devided in to three different, charged, clubs; Velvet Underground, Phuture, Zouk and the Winebar. The three first ones has an admission of SGD$30 for men and SGD$25 for women, and that includes 2 drinks each. You get admission to all three clubs, but have to go in between them all the time.

Velvet Underground, where we went, plays Lounge/Chill/Vocal House and similar music. There is two different parts, the smaller playing softer and the bigger part playing a little bit more up-beat. It is quite packed and not a lot of room to move around. The drinks are ok, small (the free ones), but with a lot of alcohol! We did not move to the other clubs, but stayed until the end of the night, dancing all the time.

Phuture plays more house/trance/techno and similiar music, while Zouk plays RnB/Rap/Hip Hop kind of style. The Winebar is free admission and outside of the clubs. You can find this hot nightclub at 17 Jiak Kim Street.

Singapore Orchard Road

One of my favorite places to hang out at night in Singapore is Orchard Road. It’s so crowded and the foods
are very delicious which are sold along the street and you can go wild do your shopping like crazy. Here is little history about Orchard Road; during centuries, the island was populated by fishermen and pirates. In 1819, sir Stamford Raffles (1781-1826), a person in charge of the Brittanic Company of the Eastern Indies persuaded the sovereign of the Malayan State of Johore to concede to Great Britain the use of the island and of his port to make a trading post of it. It became then a significant center of export of wood and rubber and its population increased considerably with the arrival in mass of Chinese merchants and workmen.
